We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team.

Key Role and Responsibilities

The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is multifaceted, involving close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to provide timely, holistic and person-centred care for patients and their families.

This entails ensuring that patients feel supported, informed and empowered throughout their cancer journey.

Selection Criteria
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse along with relevant post-registration qualifications in Oncology or Haematology and a minimum of three years' experience working in the clinical specialty.
  • Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing specialty Oncology or Haematology nursing care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Able to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
  • Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
