Clinical Nurse Educator

A permanent part-time Clinical Nurse Educator is required to provide clinical training and education to staff in an oncology setting within Southern NSW Local Health District.
Main Responsibilities- To develop, deliver and assess educational programs at a ward/unit level.
- To demonstrate and teach clinical procedures effectively.
- To act as a preceptor/mentor for less experienced staff, promoting quality care.
- To design, implement and evaluate education and learning activities using adult learning principles and current best practice models.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant post-registration clinical or education qualifications and/or current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor or willingness to work towards certification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the relevant clinical/specialty field with knowledge of competency/skills requirements for staff to achieve quality clinical care.
- Proven experience as a preceptor/mentor/coach with ability to use contemporary education methods to develop a learning culture.
- Ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate education and learning activities to meet individual learning needs using adult learning principles.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and computer skills to develop and deliver education.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining competence for a workplace trainer and assessor.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and ability to drive/travel as required.
