Teaching Leadership Opportunity

La Salle Academy in Lithgow, NSW, seeks a motivated secondary teacher to become the leader of teaching & learning. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can model and promote contemporary learning principles into the learning cycle.

About The Role

The successful candidate will lead curriculum reform, foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning, and support staff development. Responsibilities include leading teacher appraisal processes, enhancing staff-student relationships, engaging with parents, coordinating key school events, and collaborating with the leadership team.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW
  • An understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
  • Exemplary classroom practice using a range of effective contemporary pedagogies
  • Experience leading development of programming and continuous improvement with a team
  • Highly effective leadership, collaboration, communication, organisation and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary trends in education within Australia with demonstrated success implementing significant educational change initiatives
  • Minimum of five years of school experience contributing to students' growth and development
