About the Job

This Senior Project Manager position is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex projects, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver quality results.

As a seasoned project manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing assigned capital works projects from commencement to completion. This includes managing stakeholder partnerships, engagement, negotiations, and approvals throughout the project life cycle.

You will provide high-quality service to internal and external customers, delivering quality places and spaces for our community through project and asset management excellence.

  • Lead and manage multiple complex and concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, budgets, and schedules, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including team members, vendors, and clients, ensuring open communication and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or other related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience in project management, including design, construction, and contractor management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex and concurrent projects, with a focus on timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Solid understanding of best practice contracting and tendering processes, Australian construction standards, codes of practice, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders in a complex public sector environment.
