Job Description

Navantia Australia seeks an accomplished engineering professional to join our team in designing and supporting naval ship systems. The successful candidate will possess strong technical competence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise in design activities for naval ships using robust systems engineering processes.
  • Conduct technical investigations, root cause analysis, and solution identification.
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new naval ship system designs.
  • Support assigned engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and design review meetings with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Naval Architecture, Aerospace, Structural, Mechatronics considered).
  • Proven experience in a related engineering function.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, demonstrate initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments.
  • Capacity to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
