As a Senior Policy Officer at Exclaim IT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing policies that govern the collection, management, analysis, and dissemination of data within our organisation. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that our data practices align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organisational objectives.
The Data+ Program is a key enabler of data capability and maturity across the organisation. It is a program of work delivered iteratively across three key enablers – Governance and Management, People and Technology. The program supports improvement to data access, data analytics, processes, learning artefacts, policies and structures to ensure data is always managed the right way. Our people will be fluent in data behaviour excellence and use data to drive excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Development: Experience in developing policy (including Cabinet policy submissions, organisational policies, procedures, and processes) is essential.
- Communication: Clear and succinct written communication capability, with demonstrated experience in tailoring communication effectively, is required.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated collaborative working style to produce tangible outputs efficiently, with ability to develop productive working relationships with colleagues, is necessary.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to data management is highly desirable.
- Data-Related Policies: Experience developing data-related policies or associated artefacts is highly desirable.
- Higher Learning Degree: A higher learning degree, or similar, in a relevant field (e.g. law, public policy, information technology) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in policy development, preferably in the context of data governance, privacy, or information security, is highly desirable.
