Support Services Specialist

The Support Services Branch is seeking a qualified practitioner to join their team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other Support Services team members to provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support.

This role involves collaboration with other Support Services team members to provide highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills that enable effective liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond. Other key components of the role include the ability to work autonomously and develop programs to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support
  • Collaborate with other Support Services team members to develop programs to meet individual student needs
  • Utilize highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with a range of people in the education community and beyond

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will hold a graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology, occupational therapy, social work, behaviour analysis, or speech pathology. Relevant registration and eligibility requirements must also be met.
