We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part Time Operations Manager to join our YHA Sydney Harbour team on a part-time basis.

About the role:

We are on the lookout for a part-time Operations Manager to become part of the team at Sydney Harbour, one of our gateway properties. The role entails managing the property's daily operations, supervising team members, and providing primary support. As an integral member of the collective, you will help manage and operate YHA, gaining valuable experience and growth opportunities within a team of skilled and enjoyable colleagues.

Your day will be filled with ensuring accuracy of transactions in other YHA systems, including reservations to other properties and sales of other products and services. You will promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the property and ensure that it represents the philosophy of YHA in its operation. You will also supervise team members on shift and ensure they follow correct procedures, communicate and liaise with all team members to ensure the smooth operation of the property, and perform other relevant duties assigned by the Property Manager or Assistant Manager.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar environment, who can communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and written. You should possess a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, First Aid & CPR Certification, and flexible availability to cover overnight shifts. Stock, cash handling and operating procedures, people management and staff training/development are also essential skills for this role.
