Key Responsibilities- Manage Supplier Payments: Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, including EFT, BPAY, and Direct Debits.

- Data Integrity and Verification: Maintain data integrity and verify expenditure approvals as per policies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Coordinate with Procurement for supplier setup and lead vendor management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Cash Forecasts and Reporting: Prepare weekly cash forecasts, review supplier statements, and assist with month-end reporting, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Financial Systems Support: Liaise with the Financial Systems Support team to resolve data issues and complete month-end processes, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.
- Process Improvement and Mentorship: Review current AP processes and recommend and implement changes to increase efficiency, mentoring junior staff and supporting team development.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer who possesses:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with a strong understanding of full AP processes and accounting concepts.
- Experience in high-volume environments, ideally within shared services models, with a focus on continuous process improvement and problem-solving.
- Strong transactional knowledge of full AP processes and accounting concepts, including GST and GL coding.
- Proficiency with large ERP accounting systems, with experience with SAP and Basware highly desirable, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to support and mentor team members to build a high-performing team.
