Job Title: Lighting Design Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious retail lighting specialist to assist customers with enquiries, provide design solutions, and maintain a professional store presentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for counter sales, customer development, and following up on outstanding orders. They will also be required to keep up-to-date with the latest technology and trends in design, read and interpret house and electrical plans, and conduct lighting energy audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with enquiries face-to-face and over the phone
  • Counter sales, including customer development
  • Follow up and provide notification of outstanding orders
  • Maintain a professional store presentation
  • Stock management
  • Raise quotations and quotation follow-up
  • Create unique lighting design solutions for clients
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and trends in design
  • Read and interpret house and electrical plans to create inspirational lighting designs
  • Conduct lighting energy audits
Requirements:
  • Lighting design or related field experience
  • Previous experience in sourcing new business and generating leads
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with customers
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of the job
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise work effectively
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Competent PC skills
  • Professional personal presentation
  • A willingness to learn, confidence, and desire to develop skills and knowledge
