Are you a culinary professional seeking a dynamic role in aviation catering? As a key member of our Brisbane Airport team, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional food services to passengers across multiple airlines.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and bulk cooking of hot and cold meals for Business and Economy Class passengers
  • Manage team productivity to ensure timely completion of daily flight schedules and adapt to any flight delays or schedule changes
  • Collaborate with Sous and Exec Sous chefs on meal planning and strategy
  • Maintain accurate stock control and minimize food waste
  • Ensure a clean and hygienic work environment is maintained at all times
  • Enforce compliance with food safety standards (HACCP), Halal handling procedures, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
  • Pack airline carts correctly with equipment, dry goods, snacks, and beverages for each flight

Requirements:

  • Hold relevant trade qualifications
  • Demonstrate passion and drive for delivering high-quality food to customers
  • Be willing to work a 7-day rotating roster
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Show attention to detail
  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Prior experience as a CDP or Supervisor in a commercial kitchen setting is preferred
