Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Commis Chef to join our team and provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all of our lounge guests.

Key Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity is available in both al la carte and buffet environments. As a member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality food under pressure while maintaining a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Cookery and experience in a similar role
  • Detailed-focused with the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of a wide range of cooking methods and techniques
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to work well under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members
  • Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, weekends, and public holidays
Qualifications and Requirements

In order to succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Experience with culinary education, knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • MUST have full working rights within Australia
  • Ability to pass a federal police background security check

Please note that we estimate the salary for this position to be around $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location.
