Responsibilities:
- Contribute to patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation in the haemodialysis clinical setting.
- Ensure patients' rights are protected by adhering to Privacy Principles and providing high-quality care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, educating colleagues, patients, and visitors on best practices.
- Maintain a safe working environment for staff, ensuring a comfortable space for patients and visitors.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives by reporting incidents, hazards, and areas for improvement.
- Perform management functions as required.
- Accurately record patient information in medical records and adhere to confidentiality policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Registered as a general nurse with AHPRA.
- Current practising certificate.
- Understanding of Quality Improvement Processes and risk management obligations.
- Clinical competence and expertise in nephrology nursing, or working towards it.
- Ability to reflect on practice and apply learning appropriately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to perform staff and patient education effectively.
