We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Quality Management Function, focusing on the implementation of a new global conflict and independence system in Australia. This role will drive process change and improvement across BDO globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Lead, Service Line Quality Leads, and stakeholders to define best practices and processes for compliance with professional standards and BDO policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, accompanied by learning resources, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Liaise with other BDO firms to share best practices and obtain feedback throughout the project's progression.
  • Establish and manage a team responsible for executing policies and procedures, including data upload and verification.
  • Identify and troubleshoot risks and issues related to the project, escalating them promptly to relevant leaders.
  • Represent BDO Australia on global calls and participate in project management of various components throughout the implementation stages.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within a professional services firm is highly regarded.
  • Passion for driving process change and improvement within an organization, leveraging tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process mapping discussions and onboarding stakeholder feedback to reach agreement on draft policies and procedures.
  • High-level communication skills, with a strong ability to problem-solve through collaboration with Partners and senior staff.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing, motivating, and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of and application of the APESB Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including independence Standards) is an advantage.
