About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our Budget and Finance Controls Branch, you will be responsible for leading and managing key elements of the Financial Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end processes, reporting, risk assessments, controls, and balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
  • Drive efficiency and improvements in the month-end reporting cycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and streamlined processes.
  • Coordinate the monthly close of the General Ledger and reporting activities.
  • Prepare financial statement notes and schedules, and liaise with the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) on audit-related matters.
  • Manage relationships with critical stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, business partners, and other key contacts.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management and reporting of the organisation's fixed assets.
  • Ensure financial compliance and accuracy for the organisation's property lease contracts.
  • Create and present various financial and business documents, including reports, briefs, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with CA/CPA qualification.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Willing to obtain police check.

The ideal candidate should possess substantial and directly applicable experience in the fields of Financial Accounting, encompassing asset accounting and external agency reporting. Prior experience in Financial Reporting within a Commonwealth Government Environment is highly preferred.
