Hydraulic Project Engineer - Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Hydraulic Project Engineer in a multi-year defence project.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing hydraulic designs, preparing project scopes and ensuring they align with the project requirements.

  • They will oversee procurement processes to ensure timely delivery and quality of hydraulic components and materials during the construction phase.

  • Additionally, they will manage quality assurance for all hydraulic systems by conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards and compliance.

  • Candidate will collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.

  • Furthermore, they will monitor project timelines, budget allocations and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

  • At least 3 years of experience in construction in Australia, with a focus on water hydraulics.

  • A strong understanding of hydraulic design, construction processes and installations.

  • Ability to manage procurement for hydraulic systems and quality assurance.

  • A great understanding of Australian standards and regulations.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
