**Role Overview**

The position of Therapeutic Children & Families Team Leader is available in the Western Metro area. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of several children, youth and families programs.

In this role, you will ensure high-quality program delivery and practice approaches aligned with Uniting's Therapeutic Model of Care.

Some key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring the high-quality delivery of services in these programs, through working with the team, providing first-line supervision and operational management of the programs and providing direct client support as required in accordance with program requirements.
- Leading and supporting the team, including with routine supervision and connection into professional development supports.
- Managing operational performance in accordance with contract requirements and ensuring efficiency in program delivery.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and valid driver's licence to drive in Australia. They must also have demonstrated experience delivering children and families services, including statutory care and placement programs, as well as leading, coaching and developing staff.

Other essential skills and qualifications include:

  • A strong ability to engage and work effectively with consumers experiencing homelessness in a respectful, compassionate and appropriate manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with a high standard of verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing difficult conversations with staff and consumers and contributing to a positive work culture.
