Plumbing Tradesperson Career Path

In this apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience and knowledge to succeed as a skilled plumbing tradesperson. You'll develop the skills to read plans, calculate quantities, and mark out materials for stormwater and sub-soil drainage systems.

This role involves installing drain work sites, locating and clearing blockages, fabricating and installing fire hydrant and hose reel systems, and disconnecting and reconnecting Type A gas appliances. To excel in this position, you'll need a current driver's license and vehicle, a White Card, and a commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Read plans and calculate quantities to ensure accurate material allocation
  • Install stormwater and sub-soil drainage systems efficiently
  • Locate and clear blockages in pipes and drainage systems
  • Fabricate and install fire hydrant and hose reel systems safely
  • Disconnect and reconnect Type A gas appliances correctly
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
