Job Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As the vital link between estimating and project delivery activities, you will be responsible for ensuring minimum risk and maximum profit on each project.

The successful candidate will work closely with site staff, senior management, and clients to achieve objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure 100% compliance with HSE/QA legislation and implement company management systems.
  • Project Cost Management: Provide and maintain Project Cost Reports and Claim and Labour Forecasting.
  • Variation Management: Execute variation management in accordance with contract documentation and procedures.
  • Progress Claims: Provide status on site progress, materials delivered to site, and accurately document Progress Claim percentages.
  • Innovation: Implement innovations to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and foster a solutions-focused attitude.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee site team and control sub-contractors.
  • Asset Management: Effective management of assets on site and plant/equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the plumbing industry.
  • Previous experience in plumbing, ideally with commercial and hydraulics.
  • Tertiary qualification in project management and plumbing trade qualification desirable.
  • Ability to understand hydraulic related drawings, specifications, and management systems.
  • Autonomous project management skills with cost-control focus.
  • Ability to deal with pressure, meet deadlines, and enjoy challenges.
  • Ability to work with systematic operating systems and procedures with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of financial aspects of projects including estimating.
  • Solid commercial acumen.
