Seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning. This role requires expertise in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of greenfield renewable energy sites with a focus on utility-scale solar and BESS projects (greater than 200MW).

Oversee market analysis and feasibility assessments incorporating regulatory considerations, environmental factors, and financial performance indicators.

  • Manage project planning including the development of schedules, budgets, and resource strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks including environmental approvals, grid connection processes, and local government planning requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to develop project proposals, contractual agreements, and robust financial models.
  • Lead negotiations with off-takers and stakeholders to secure commercial contracts.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, utilities, and local communities.
  • Track and report on project milestones proactively managing risks and resolving issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Prepare and present internal reports at various stages of the project lifecycle to support strategic decision-making and governance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or master's level degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful renewable energy projects with a minimum of one project demonstrated.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working across the development process from concept to final close.
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
