About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a senior professional with expertise in renewable energy development. As a Senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of utility scale solar and battery energy storage projects across Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project development, with experience in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring greenfield renewable energy sites. You will also have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work proactively and within a team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the identification, evaluation, and development or acquisition of greenfield renewable energy sites
  • Performing detailed market analysis and feasibility assessments
  • Overseeing project planning, including the development of schedules, budgets, and resource strategies
  • Managing compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks
  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and legal teams
  • Negotiating Power Purchase Agreements and other commercial contracts

Requirements for the Role Include:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's level degree in Engineering, Business, or similar relevant degrees
  • 15 years of experience in a similar role in the renewable energy sector
  • Proven development experience in the renewable energy sector and ability to show a minimum of one project delivered
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exposure to development process from concept to final close
