Operational Theatre Specialist Role
A vital component of our healthcare team, the Operational Theatre Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures. They are responsible for preparing the theatre environment, overseeing equipment, and providing training and mentorship to junior colleagues.
The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the theatre environment for procedures
- Providing oversight of theatre equipment
- Assisting with training and mentoring of junior staff members
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, they should have at least 12 months of clinical experience working as an Operational Theatre Technician and a good understanding of basic infection control principles.
