Job Role Overview

The HR Professional Advisor plays a vital role in Regional Workforce Management, providing expert advice and support to stakeholders. With a strong understanding of Australian employment laws and regulations, this individual will coordinate employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on compliance.

This key member of the onsite team will establish strong relationships with business leaders and managers to understand their needs and challenges. They will manage and support various employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management issues. The HR Professional Advisor will also conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support ER cases from initiation to resolution
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and incidents
  • Support managers in handling performance management issues
  • Prepare and maintain detailed case documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all dealings

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in a HR or equivalent role
  • Strong knowledge of applicable legislation, industrial relations instruments, frameworks, and best practice
  • Ability to interpret legislation, policies, and other industrial instruments
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework in which employee relations operates
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
