This initiative focuses on providing individualized assistance to those transitioning from detention. Our goal is to help them reintegrate successfully into their families and communities.
We engage with young people in detention, fostering trust and connection. Upon release, our team provides ongoing support to facilitate re-engagement in education, employment, and community life while minimizing the risk of recidivism.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead this effort.
About the RoleAs a Program Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise to deliver high-quality support services tailored to each young person's needs. You will oversee your team, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative and contractual requirements, all while driving positive outcomes for clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and motivate program teams to deliver effective outreach services.
- Oversee program operations, adhering to established policies and compliance standards.
- Promote organisational best practices, incorporating Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and the CARE model across programs.
- Foster a culture that values client participation in service delivery and program design.
- Ensure young people receive comprehensive support to reconnect with family, education, and community networks.
- Manage risks, staff concerns, and client complaints professionally and sensitively.
- Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders, including Queensland juvenile justice services, government agencies, and community organisations.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on program performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and client-centricity.
You are a results-driven leader with experience or knowledge of the Queensland's juvenile justice system and a passion for supporting young people to achieve positive futures. Your strengths include operational management skills, resilience, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
Requirements include:
- A degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the human services sector.
- In-depth understanding of Queensland's youth justice framework and service systems.
- Strong skills in managing competing priorities and achieving results under pressure.
- A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of young people.
