Job Overview

The Aboriginal Business Partner will provide expert advice, coaching, and mentoring to Aboriginal employees and leaders across our portfolio. This role plays a key part in delivering specialised case management with a focus on customer service to support Aboriginal employees.

This is an identified role. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by legislation.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience supporting Aboriginal employees in the workplace, with a strong understanding of diverse issues they may encounter.

About the Opportunity

As an Aboriginal HR Business Partner working alongside other Business Partners, you will:

  • Provide culturally informed advice, coaching, and mentoring to Aboriginal employees and leaders across our portfolio group on a range of workplace matters.
  • Work in close partnership with specialist teams to support safe outcomes for Aboriginal and other employees.
  • Develop and deliver informative training sessions to empower leaders.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, enhancing our service delivery to improve customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Aboriginal employees and leaders through problem-solving people matters, delivering proactive education programs, and driving workforce outcomes.
  • Providing expert advice, coaching, and mentoring on conflict resolution, health and wellbeing, performance and grievance management.
  • Working closely with specialist teams to develop and implement solutions that meet the needs of Aboriginal employees.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have an understanding of diverse workforce issues including Aboriginal people and sensitivities around Aboriginal culture.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management or conflict resolution.
  • Strong ethics and values that align to our customer service-driven culture.
