Job Title: Headspace Centre Manager - Kalgoorlie

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to lead the headspace centre in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational systems, managing staff performance, and building effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee service delivery to young people and their families/significant others in accordance with the headspace grant agreement.
  • Promote and progress HOPE's vision, strategic plan, and regional business plan in collaboration with the Regional General Manager.
  • Foster a supportive team environment and promote participation among team members.
  • Provide management oversight to headspace staff at the Esperance Service.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the headspace Kalgoorlie Centre.
  • Manage staff recruitment and selection, ensuring new hires are oriented to procedures and operations.
  • Shape and structure a productive work environment where staff understand expectations and contribute to organizational success.
  • Support other team members to undertake programs, education, and training opportunities offered by WAPHA, headspace National Office, and the headspace network.
Requirements
  • A commitment to culturally secure and competent practice.
  • Degree-level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in managing operational systems, including resource allocation and planning.
  • Proven ability to manage staff performance, including recruitment, supervision, and performance reviews.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $71,400 (based on 76 hours per fortnight at $58.23/hour) plus superannuation and a regional allowance of $2.78/hour.

About You
  • You will have a passion for delivering high-quality services and a commitment to cultural security and competence.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in staff performance management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

This role requires a Working with Children Check, current unrestricted WA Driver's licence, and National Police Clearance. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
