Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced mining engineer to develop and implement plans for the efficient extraction of gold.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop short-term and long-term mining plans, including monthly and quarterly schedules.
  • Assist in scheduling, considering financial, geotechnical, geological, mining methods, and resource factors.
  • Monitor and support plan compliance, efficiency, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Manage underground costs and ensure designs maximise value.
  • Identify hazards and risks at early stages and eliminate or engineer controls at the design level.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years underground mine engineering experience (design, planning, scheduling, and D&B).
  • Proven experience identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems.
  • Experience with mine design software, ideally Deswik and Aegis.
