About the Position

The underground mine planner reports to the superintendent mining engineer and handles mine design, level plans, and short to midterm scheduling.

  • Long term planning – Assist development life-of-mine schedules.
  • Monitoring and Support – Analysis of plan compliance, efficiencies and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Cost management – Monitor underground costs and ensure designs maximise value.
  • Identify hazards and risks at early stages and eliminate or engineer controls at the design level.

The position will only be offered residentially or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday

About You

You will enjoy developing relationships with your peers and leaders, working in a collaborative team environment.

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years underground mine engineering experience (design, planning, scheduling, and D&B)
  • Proven experience identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems.
  • Experience with mine design software, ideally Deswik and Aegis.
