Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead strategic financial operations in Australia.

As the Head of Finance, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership within our finance division. This role is critical to enhancing financial performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering precise financial reporting, planning, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement financial strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee accurate financial reporting while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, delivering insights for financial optimisation.
  • Cost Control & Profitability: Drive cost optimisation initiatives and profitability analysis, including capital expenditure assessments.
  • Risk Management & Controls: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring robust controls and optimal capital allocation.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.

Stakeholders

Work closely with senior leaders, auditors, and regulators.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications: CA/CPA certified with 15+ years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing teams.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Mindset: Independent, self-motivated, and process-improvement driven.
