Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support plans
  • Implement and oversee the use and reduction of restrictive practices in alignment with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Work collaboratively with customers, families, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and their families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS (Proficient level) or eligibility for registration
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline such as Nursing, Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or other related health/community/human services areas
  • Familiarity with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding principles, including behaviour support and restrictive practices
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Experience in facilitating group sessions, training, coaching, and/or mentoring
  • Proven track record in delivering strength-based and person-centred services
  • A positive, contemporary attitude, and a commitment to maximising quality of life for people with disability
