Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of prisoners' protection needs.

You will provide critical support to various sections as required, utilizing your analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Protection Needs Assessments on Prisoners
  • Maintain effective communication with prisoners to discuss their Protection Needs
  • Thoroughly research prisoner files in preparation for Protection Needs assessments
  • Prepare detailed documentation with recommendations for approval
  • Ensure confidentiality of all handled documentation
  • Provide regular statistical information to Management
  • Review and assess incoming and outgoing child sex offender mail, maintaining associated registers in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Support the QCS drug testing regime
  • Assist with administration tasks as required, particularly supporting the Manager
  • Collaborate with Intelligence Section
  • Manage administrative functions and quality control, providing confidential support as needed
  • Offer assistance with administrative issues and assist in preparing memorandums, reports, and correspondence
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate work systems
  • Perform other administration duties as necessary
  • Monitor and maintain the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) to ensure accurate statistics
  • Prepare, maintain, update, and manage offender files securely
