Your Opportunity
We are seeking dynamic and innovative Educators (teacher or tutor) to achieve outstanding results as a part of our industry leading, renowned organisation This is a wonderful opportunity to share your education knowledge and expertise, support our students' skills and development and make a real difference.
As a key member of the teaching and delivery team, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning services to a wide range of clients through:
Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs;
Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers;
Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies;
Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement; and
Making Great Happen
This position reports to the Business Manager.
TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas.
This talent pool may be open for up to 12 months and is for opportunities as they become available.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
a.
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
UEE32220 - Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or similar
b.
Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus: TAELLN411 or its successor or
TAELLN401 A; and
TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502 A or TAEASS502 B; or
A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education; and
c.
Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
d.
Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
e.
Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
