Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking an experienced clinical nurse educator to provide education, training, and evaluation of knowledge and skills to promote improved nursing care within the Western NSW Local Health District.

About the Role:
  • This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled clinical nurse to work with a variety of approaches to facilitate learning and development among nurses across the district.

You will have advanced clinical nursing skills and demonstrated knowledge and skill using technology appropriate to the clinical area. As an experienced educator, you will provide day-to-day and one-on-one clinical education, in-services, and monitor and evaluate educational programs through clinical competency assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet team and individual learning needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, including preceptorship, mentorship, and role modeling, to support a collaborative approach to learning and development.
  • Maintain records of educational activities and program evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in education or a related field would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in clinical education, staff development, and mentoring.
