Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Richard Lloyd Accounting Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including reporting, forecasting and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of month-end general ledger and financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Preparation of reporting to deliver insights on performance to support strategic decision-making
  • Ownership of preparation and submission of quarterly financial reporting pack to head office
  • Preparation of budget and forecasts, in conjunction with the Head of Finance, including subsequent tracking and variance analysis
  • Review and improvement of financial processes and controls
  • Oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable process
  • Review of junior accountants' work (with opportunity to manage)
  • Work with Logistics Manager to ensure accurate cost of sales and inventory reporting
  • Liaison with Australian external tax accountants
  • Income Tax Return including IDS
  • Local File reporting (and Master File and CBC requirements if required)
  • FBT and BAS/IAS returns
  • Royalties, Interest and Licence withholdings
  • Review of monthly payroll calculations
  • Setting up new employees in Xero payroll system
  • Responsibility for payroll tax and workers compensation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus CA / CPA qualification
  • Experience in corporate tax reporting and ATO submission requirements
  • A real can-do attitude. It's a small team, so willingness to get stuck in and help out is essential
  • Exposure to SAP would be advantageous
