The position of Financial Accountant Specialist is currently available at Anton Murray Consulting in Sydney, Australia. This role offers an opportunity to work with a leading international financial institution and contribute to the fund administration department.

Job Summary

This Senior Fund Accountant position is responsible for review and oversight within the fund administration department. The primary responsibilities include verifying and reviewing the work of the Fund Accountants, both in-office and abroad. Direct client contact will be involved, ultimately responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of client reports in-line with SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and verifying reporting in line with SLA targets, focusing on the generation of Unit Pricing Reports, Accounting Reports, Tax Reports, and resolution of client and/or interdepartmental issues.
  • Maintaining significant inter-departmental contact to ensure all functions operate efficiently and harmoniously.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

Candidates with demonstrated capabilities and 4+ years' experience in senior roles within the fund accounting function are ideal. Key qualifications include proficiency in Unit Pricing, Tax Reporting, Valuation and Accounting, Distributions or Taxable Income Calculations, Tax Returns, and technical accounting ability. Previous exposure to unit pricing and fund accounting systems, such as Hi-Portfolio, PControl, or Dimension, is highly valued. Proficiency in MS Suite, namely Word and Excel, and excellent organisational and communication skills are also required.

Estimated Salary: $95k-$115k base + super and a discretionary bonus.
