Account Field Engineer Role

As a customer-focused engineering professional, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional on-site support, driving operational performance, and building long-term relationships with our clients.

This role involves providing value-added engineering services to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will coordinate Operational Performance Excellence programs, covering safety, maintenance, environmental compliance, and machine efficiency.

You will coach and support customer personnel to enhance their operational knowledge and basic machine care skills. Additionally, you will develop and implement short- and long-term engineering and performance improvement plans for customer accounts.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of customer and machine performance data, identifying and addressing training and coaching needs within customer operations, resolving customer problems, and communicating engineering changes to design and project teams.

Furthermore, you will review machine efficiency data and lead corrective action planning for downtime reduction, champion continuous improvement initiatives across customer sites, and ensure compliance with WHS, food safety (HACCP), and environmental requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Engineering degree and/or trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics.
  • Proven ability to manage machine engineering issues in customer environments.
  • Strong project management skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
  • Confident communicator who can build trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-site customer support role.
  • Desirable: PLC programming skills and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
