About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Capacity and Home Living Assessor to join our team at Everyday Independence. As a key member of our assessment team, you will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate individuals' abilities, challenges, and support needs across various life tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough Functional Capacity and Home Living Assessments in participants' homes and other contextual environments.
  • Develop and implement personalized recommendations for home and living support models, promoting active self-determination and enabling individuals to participate fully in decision-making regarding their living situation.
  • Stay up-to-date with NDIS regulations and funding guidelines, ensuring that assessments and recommendations align with the latest standards.
  • Utilize quality of life approaches, inclusion strategies, and ecosystem supports in assessment and recommendation processes.
  • Produce timely and evidence-based reports to support assessment outcomes and recommendations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • General AHPRA Registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in functional capability and home living assessment.
  • Knowledge of NDIS guidelines and funding structures preferred.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
