This is an exciting opportunity to work with governments and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives to develop joined up advice to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to thrive in the first five years of life.
The RoleWe are seeking Assistant Director positions to manage the operations and strategic policy development, as well as support a new Secretariat function to manage the operations and governance of the Partnership.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidates will be responsible for:
- managing collaborative relationships with Commonwealth agencies, state and territory governments, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives;
- developing the workplan and strategic priorities of the Policy Partnership in collaboration with other members;
- developing papers, briefings, and research proposals in collaboration with other members;
- managing project activities, policy analysis, data analysis, and research as required by the Partnership;
- supervising staff and supporting staff development.
Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded, including public policy, early childhood, Indigenous affairs, and community development.
