This pivotal role involves driving strategic government relations and policy initiatives by engaging with ministerial offices, parliamentarians, and federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ministerial offices, parliamentarians, and federal agencies to drive strategic government relations and policy initiatives.
- Utilize expertise in managing government relations strategy and initiatives, ideally within a Federal or State Government setting.
- Provide professional advice to ministers or senior parliamentarians, or in a government relations, public policy, or advocacy role.
- Network and build an intimate understanding of political party dynamics and government machinery using stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate political acumen and experience with issues management in sensitive and high-profile environments.
- Effectively synthesise and articulate complex issues, set clear priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
- Extensive experience in government relations and public policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage high-level stakeholders.
- Exceptional political judgement and strategic thinking abilities.
