Senior Data Migration QA Specialist Role

The key responsibilities of a Senior Data Migration QA Specialist involve ensuring the quality and accuracy of data migration processes across various systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Quality assurance of solutions developed by the data migration team, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
    • Plan, prepare, execute, and report quality assurance using superannuation registry systems and SQL tools.
    • Analyze test requirements, design, and prepare manual and automated test scenarios and scripts that provide comprehensive coverage of given requirements.
    • Generate test metrics and return on investment (ROI) to utilize them for process and efficiency improvements.
    • Build complex SQL queries to build automation scripts for data migration and reconciliation requirements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.
    • Triage and retest defects raised outside the data migration team.
    • Plan and execute go-live data migration testing and reconciliation activities.
    • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
Requirements
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration QA Specialist with a solid background in both manual and automated testing.
    • Be proficient in tools such as JIRA, Xray, TOSCA, Postman, and SQL.
    • Have strong working experience in large-scale data migration and reconciliation.
    • Have a strong understanding of ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation validation.
    • Have strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing and reporting.
    • Have hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, data profiling tools, and test automation frameworks.
    • Familiarity with data reconciliation techniques.
    • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
    • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Have experience in the superannuation industry or a similar financial sector to minimize the learning curve and quickly contribute to the team.
