About The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement expert to join a busy and growing Procurement team. As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in driving the transformation agenda while bringing a level of standardisation and maturity to the function. You will work closely with the Group Procurement Manager to drive review of processes, tools and technologies, lift the team capability and manage some BAU and category activity as required.

Role Specific Expectations

  • Assist with escalations, project and BAU issues from the Procurement team.
  • Drive improvements of Procurement templates, process, and governance.
  • With a good knowledge of procurement systems and best practice Procurement processes and tools, assist in the development of the future state.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Manager to increase the maturity of the Procurement function from strategy to improved performance and vendor management.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of category management strategies and templates.
  • Experience is expected across Source to Contract and Procure to Pay with knowledge of sustainable procurement practices.

Expected Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

About You

  • A procurement practitioner, proficient in end-to-end processes and technologies. Will suit someone who has managed procurement projects and teams.
  • Commercially focused with highly developed communication, problem solving, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute procurement programs from concept through implementation with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a greenfields environment where no two days are the same but the opportunity for change is enormous.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and other procurement tools.
