We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Coffee Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our roastery and cafe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Roastery Management: Ensure efficient inventory management, order supplies, and oversee day shift operations as needed.
  • Barista Duties: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, food items, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strict quality control standards.
  • Customer Service: Welcome and engage customers, determine their coffee preferences, and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Coffee Education: Inform customers about coffee beans, origins, and nuances of various roasts.
  • Sales Promotion: Effectively communicate product attributes and benefits to promote sales.
  • General Admin: Manage wholesale orders, including invoicing, organizing servicing, training, and answering general questions.
Requirements:
  • Professional Requirements:
    • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Barista.
    • Strong computing skills, including Excel or Google Sheets.
    • Knowledge of coffee beans, origins, and brewing techniques.
    • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
    • A strong understanding of Food Health & Safety.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Certification II or more in Hospitality.
    • Organic handling experience.
    • Sales or marketing experience.
    • Xero knowledge.
    • Food handling or Cookery experience.
  • Personal Requirements:
    • Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate visa to work in Australia.
    • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 5 days a week.
    • Loves coffee and tea.
    • Ability to work independently and delegate tasks when needed.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Own car with capacity to make deliveries.
