We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Officer to join our team in the Gold Coast Education Sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, performing bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance, and assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures.

Additionally, they will be responsible for payroll processing and reporting, preparing and lodging BAS and other statutory returns, and handling debtor and creditor management.

Key skills and qualifications required include proven experience in a similar Senior Accounts Officer or Accounts Manager role, proficiency with accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, or similar systems, strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to lead others.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Process payroll and generate reports
  • Lodge BAS and other statutory returns
  • Handle debtor and creditor management
Requirements:
