Compensation: $71.00 to $86.00 per hour plus Superannuation (rate based on experience and suitability)

Contract Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned HR/ER professionals to become a part of our People Advisory team. Reporting to the Manager of People Advisory, the successful candidate will assist leaders in fostering a positive work environment for employees while delivering exceptional service to clients. As a Senior Advisor, the role involves supporting leaders in mitigating risks and enhancing workplace culture and performance to achieve strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Offer guidance, support, and coaching to leaders on issues such as performance management, misconduct, grievances, fitness for work, behavior, and team dynamics.
  2. Conduct workplace investigations of varying complexities.
  3. Coach leaders to enhance their people management skills.
  4. Provide insights on interpreting enterprise agreements and employment contracts.
  5. Engage in the identification, implementation, and continuous enhancement of employee relations initiatives, processes, policies, and operational methods.
  6. Opportunity to participate in claims and disputes before relevant commissions.

The ideal candidate will be business-oriented, adept at relationship building, and possess strong coaching and mentoring abilities. They will have the experience and confidence to provide guidance on various people and employment relations issues. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach to effectively resolve challenges.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  1. Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  2. Extensive HR generalist, employee relations, and/or case management experience, preferably in a medium to large multi-disciplinary organization. Case management experience is essential.
  3. Experience with a field-based blue-collar workforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
