Collection Attendant

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program that focuses on developing life skills and personal relationships with God through Jesus Christ.

This position is responsible for the operations and security of the Certified Collection Center (CCC). Key responsibilities include receiving and processing donated materials, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the collection center, and ensuring the safe handling of merchandise.

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to lift 100 pounds. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve the center's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process all donated materials courteously and efficiently.
  • Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the collection center and surrounding area.
  • Safeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment.
  • Advise donors of unacceptable materials.
  • Sort and load trailers.
  • Evaluate and report complaints, damage, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
