Animal Care Specialist

The Animal Care Specialist plays a pivotal part in maintaining animal welfare and ensuring public safety within the community. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including investigating breaches of animal-related laws, conducting patrols, and enforcing legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough investigations into animal-related incidents, gathering evidence and preparing reports to inform decision-making.
- Respond to complaints and enquiries from the public, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Capture and impound stray animals, working closely with the Animal Shelter team to ensure their safe and humane treatment.
- Prepare various documents, including reports, notices, and other materials, to support enforcement actions and policy development.
We are seeking a highly skilled and community-focused individual with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Local Laws and relevant legislation, as well as experience in conducting investigations and gathering evidence. A background in animal husbandry, whether domestic or large animals, is highly valued.
