About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Cyber Security Project Manager to join our team in Adelaide. As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of major defence projects and nurturing the project management discipline within our organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and mentoring to your project management and support team
  • Cultivating a fulfilled and engaged project management workforce
  • Nurturing career pathways for project support and management staff
  • Managing the performance of activities to achieve team goals and successful project outcomes
  • Applying ASDEFCON and SAFe knowledge to deliver complex defence projects
  • Defining and tuning project management processes in synergy with engineering disciplines
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 10 years' experience as a Project Manager or 5 years as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong understanding of project management across the defence capability lifecycle. You should also have experience working with both waterfall and Agile project methodologies, as well as industry project management standards such as Prince2 or PMBOK.

You will have had experience project managing large and small projects, ideally within the Defence domain, and will be familiar with the delivery and sustainment of software-based projects. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage and interpret ambiguity are essential for this role.
