We are seeking an Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer to join our team at the NSW Police Force. This is a unique opportunity for an Aboriginal person to make a positive impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to commands in the management of local Aboriginal issues.
  • Establish and maintain close personal rapport with Elders, Leaders, and members of the Aboriginal community.
  • Develop network contacts to strengthen co-operation and communication.
  • Assist community members in their dealings with local policing issues and contact with other statutory bodies.
Requirements
  • Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification.
  • Applicants must hold a current driver's licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six months or NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.
  • A Working With Children Check is a prerequisite for this role.
