About the Role

CPB Contractors, a leading international construction contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the partnership with TasWater, UGL, and WSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing TasWater's capability in operational and strategic areas such as safety, project controls, estimating, and program management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of sustainability requirements across the project, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision to reduce lifecycle carbon emissions and compliance with industry rating tools such as ISC.
  • Engage with stakeholders and manage diverse requirements and expectations, leveraging strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Support and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and deliberate career progression milestones.
  • Manage sustainability initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, from design to delivery.
  • Assess and prioritize risks and opportunities related to sustainability, ensuring effective risk management.
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking, analyzing, and reporting sustainability metrics, providing transparency and accountability for project outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in the sustainability sector within the infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility and complexity in project management.
  • Experience in delivering sustainability rating tools such as Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and drive the sustainability agenda at a strategic level.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff, and stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of working collaboratively to embed sustainability into core business practices and project delivery.
  • Strategic thinking, with experience in managing substantial projects from design to delivery, aiding in informed decision-making to enhance the organization's sustainability objectives.
  • Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) (highly desirable).
