About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to manage payroll operations, ensure compliance, and provide excellent service to employees.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of processing end-to-end payroll for approximately 4000 employees, including onboarding and terminations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Interpret Awards and Agreements.
- Manage month-end payroll processes.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and team.
- Work with HR and Finance to resolve payroll inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reports and analysis for management.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing payroll policies.
Requirements:
- Strong payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and software such as Ichris/Chris21, Kronos Dimensions/Pro Workforce.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cert IV in Payroll Admin, TAPS/APA courses, Aust Wide Tax Courses) are advantageous.
- Experience with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, ideally in construction.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
